Chapter III
Admission and Resignation of Members

Article 10:
Active Members shall be admitted to membership in the American Society upon filling out and signing an application form by which they obligate themselves to comply with the bylaws of the American Society and upon payment of the respective membership dues.

Article 11: Associate Members shall be admitted to membership in the American Society upon recommendation of an Active Member, and after receiving the affirmative vote of 3/4 of the Governors in attendance at a regular meeting of the Board of Governors at which a quorum shall be present and acting throughout. Their membership shall become effective upon filling out and signing an application form by which they obligate themselves to comply with the bylaws of the American Society and upon payment of the respective membership dues.

Article 12: Honorary Members shall be admitted to the Society upon recommendation of the Officers and after receiving the affirmative vote of 3/4 of the Governors in attendance at a regular meeting of the Board of Governors at which a quorum shall be present and acting throughout.

Article 13: Members may resign from the Society at any time, which resignations shall be accepted by the Board of Governors. Members shall not be jointly nor severally liable for the society’s liabilities.
