Membership / Annuity Cancellation Policy
The American Society of São Paulo strives to provide a quality and satisfactory service to its members, but we understand that in some cases it may be necessary to cancel your annual or monthly membership fee.
Cancellation can be requested by the member at any time, without additional costs. However, cancellation will not result in a full refund of the annuity or monthly fee already paid, except in cases of force majeure, as specified below.

Cancellation must be requested in writing, by email or letter, at least 30 days in advance of the next payment. If cancellation is requested less than 30 days in advance, the next payment will be due and there will be no refund.

In case of force majeure, such as serious illness, death in the family, change of country or other unforeseeable circumstances, the member may request cancellation with a proportional refund. Reimbursement will be calculated based on the number of months remaining on the annuity or monthly fee, starting from the date of receipt of the written cancellation request.

If the member cancels the service or membership within 7 days and before using the contracted services or participating in the included events, the right of repentance and full refund of the amounts paid is guaranteed. The refund will be made within 10 business days from the date of the cancellation request.

The American Society of São Paulo reserves the right to cancel or terminate the membership or service at any time if the member violates the established policies or terms of use. In such cases, the member will not be entitled to a refund and must immediately cease using the services or membership.

This cancellation policy is governed by Brazilian law and any disputes arising from it will be resolved by the competent authorities of the country.
Event Ticket Cancellation Policy

The cancellation of tickets for events can be requested by the buyer at any time before the event takes place.

The cancellation request must be made through the same sales channel used to purchase the ticket, such as the website or physical point of sale.

The ticket price will be refunded to the purchaser, minus applicable service fees.

The deadline for requesting cancellation may vary according to the event, however, in general, the maximum period is up to 3 days before the event.

In cases of cancellation requested within the established period, the total value of the ticket will be refunded to the buyer.

In case of a cancellation request after the established deadline, it will not be possible to refund the ticket value.
No-show
The non-attendance of the buyer to the event, also known as a no-show, does not entitle to a refund of the ticket price.
In cases of no-show justified by force majeure, such as illness or accident, the buyer may request a refund of the ticket price. The request must be made through the same sales channel used to purchase the ticket, and must be supported by a medical document or other valid documentation that proves the impossibility of attending the event.
Event Change
In the event of any change to the event, such as a change in date, location or time, the buyer may choose to keep the ticket for the new date or request cancellation and refund of the ticket price.
If the buyer chooses to keep the ticket for the new date, it will not be possible to request the cancellation and refund later, except in cases of event cancellation.
General Provisions
The American Society of São Paulo reserves the right to change this event ticket cancellation policy at any time, without prior notice. The updated version will always be available on the website or at the physical point of sale.
This cancellation policy for event tickets does not affect the rights provided by law, such as the right of repentance or the right to reimbursement in case of cancellation of the event by the organization.
