The 2023 Angel Party

The Angel Party is one of the American Society’s biggest and most exciting events. On December 9, we plan to hold our amazing party for the 24th year in a row and, of course, we need your help!

...consider joining forces with others—neighbors, family members, co-workers—to sponsor a child.

The Angel Party is a day when 240 underprivileged children from American Society-supported residential homes and daycare centers meet up at Graded School for a Christmas party full of fun, food, and games. The party ends when Santa brings each child a bag of presents especially chosen for that child.

Santa needs help! Right now, we need to find 240 people to sponsor a child and buy a bag full of brand new and beautiful Christmas presents (backpack, pants, shirt, sweatshirt or coat, tennis shoes, flip-flops, socks, underwear, toy, and candy treat). If you’re interested, send Sue Banman Sileci an email.

You can also donate to us directly and for R$625 (or US$130 – Santa has helpers in the USA!), we’ll do the shopping for you. Contact Sue about this too!

Important!

This bag, full of essentials and a little bit of fun, is the only Christmas present most of the children receive. If it feels like too much for you this year, consider joining forces with others—neighbors, family members, co-workers—to sponsor a child. And, if you or your company would like to donate in some other way with prizes, food, or essential supplies, let us know.

Finally, join the Angel Party Committee! Contact Natalie Della Rosa if you’d like to help. There are plenty of interesting jobs and it’s a great opportunity to meet some fun people.

Here’s a video from last year’s Angel Party. Everyone had a blast, guests and volunteers alike. Watch it to get an idea of the joy – and our reason for pushing through for 24 years in a row – and please help out!
