Meet Our President
Mr Glenn Peebles - PhD CFA
Mr. Glenn Peebles, an American Citizen and Brazilian resident, was born in Chicago, and raised in Rockford, Illinois, where he grew up. A graduate of Rockford University, he also earned his PhD at the University of Illinois, and has lived and worked for nearly 30 years in Brazil in banking and as a executive in agribusiness companies. He holds the CCA certfication from the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC), and has served on other boards in the past. Glenn joined the AmSoc board in 2023 as Treasurer, having also been an AmSoc board member and Treasurer in the early 2000s.
The Executive Committee
The Executive Committee of the American Society is responsible for the day-to-day management and decision-making. Entirely made up of voluntary members, the committee oversees the development and implementation of programs and services, as well as fundraising and budgeting. The committee also ensures that the society adheres to legal and ethical standards, and that its actions align with its mission and values. Overall, the work of the Executive Committee of the American Society is crucial to the success of the American Society in achieving its mission.
