Icy drinks and rinks

Updated: May 6, 2023

Are you ready to enjoy a fun night on ice? Come join us for our Curling Happy Hour on May 18 from 6:30pm to 10:30pm. This exciting winter Olympic sport is like a combination of bowling, bocce ball, billiards – all played on ice.

Tradition has it that the winning team buys drinks for the opposition team.

But there is more! Curling is considered to be one of the most social of all winter sports. It’s known as a great mixer for all ages and abilities. With official curling terminology including words like “Broomstacking” (otherwise known as post game drinks), it’s clearly a fun game for friends to enjoy together.

Tradition has it that the winning team buys drinks for the opposition team. The opposing team usually returns the gesture and offers to buy a second round of drinks... And perhaps the cycle continues for the rest of the night!

Happy Hour will start at 6:30pm, and free curling classes will take place from 8:30pm to 10:30 pm… and yes the broomstacking will go on all night.

R$145 for members

R$175 for non members

Price includes 2 free beers, appetizers and curling classes.

Not so interested in curling? Now worries, you can also rent ice skates and take a spin on the ice, or just come and enjoy watching your friends take a shot at curling. Additionally, feel free to bring a bottle of wine to share with friends: the ice rink only charges a R$20 corkage fee.

Attire: Anything you want, but maybe consider some stretchy pants and a sweatshirt for the ice.
